Brother Laurence Run 'n' Shuck Oyster Cup
It will be a glorious October morning run or walk through City Park before the CBS Family Picnic!
The 2024 Brother Laurence Run 'n' Shuck Oyster Cup will be held on Saturday, October 5th at Christian Brothers School in New Orleans City Park.
Following the race, join us for some great food and local craft beer! This is a family fun event that has drawn over 500 runners and walkers in the past.
This year there is a distance for everyone with a 2 Mile and 1 Mile race, as well as a Kids Trot (recommended for kids age 8 and under)! We hope to see you there!
All proceeds benefit Christian Brothers School.
Andouille Festival Run/Walk

for the old LaPlace Dragstrip, the site of the 1st Andouille
Festival Run started by the LaPlace Volunteer Fire Dept. in 1972.
On SUNDAY - SUNDAY October 20, 2024 @ 8:30 a.m. come
start your body engines to cover the distance.
Race amenities include a chip-timed race, t-shirt, food, drink, music and
entry to the festival.
Race proceeds are directed to Keep St. John Beautiful, a
volunteer committee tasked with improving the beautification of
the parish.
Redz River Run 5k / 10k
Join us for the Annual Redz River Run 5k and 10k Race/Walk hosted by the Baton Rouge Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. The race will benefit several local charities and the March of Dimes.
This Race has USATF certification. The route will take place on the Southern University and A&M College Campus.
All participants will receive a T-Shirt and finisher medal if registered before March 1st. T shirts are not guaranteed for individuals registering after March 1st.
*A $100.00 gift card to Varsity Sports will be awarded to the overall adult male and female winner for the 5k and 10k.
*A $50.00 gift card to Varsity Sports will be awarded to the overall youth male and female winner for the 5k race.
* Groups are welcomed to participate.
* We also have a virtual option for both races
After the race, all are invited to attend the Community Health Summit which will include various health screenings, speakers and several local small business vendors.
Phil Phest 5k
Through an incredible journey from surgery and chemotherapy to endurance training and ultramarathons, Phil found a lifestyle change and a new purpose. After defeating cancer two times and realizing how blessed his family was, he decided there weren’t enough resources to help kids who have lost a parent to cancer. Running for Dreams is here to change that.
Join us for a 5k (3.1 Mile) run or walk from St Rita’s Catholic Church and onto the Mississippi River Levee Path where runners will turnaround at the halfway point.
The post-race fest will begin immediately following the race in the parking lot of St Rita's Catholic Church. Join us for live music by Refried Confuzion, amazing food and drinks courtesy of Inland Seafood, Bubbalicious BBQ, Southern Eagle, Coca-Cola and a guaranteed good time!
